Letter from Bishop Kevin Rhoades Affirming Canonical Status of the Confraternity of Penitents and New CFP Visitor

Happy New Year!

What a glorious way to begin this new year! We have just received the following letter from Bishop Kevin Rhoades, affirming the canonical status of the Confraternity of Penitents and sharing his enthusiasm for the CFP and offering his prayers. We thank Bishop Rhoades for this letter, which is reproduced on the Confraternity of Penitents web site on its own page and which will be in the next edition of the Confraternity of Penitents Handbook, hopefully published within the next several months.

In addition, we would like to introduce Father Jacob Meyer, new CFP Visitor, who is Parochial Vicar of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He also teaches at both Bishop Dwenger High School and St. Charles Borromeo Elementary and Middle School and is chaplain to the Knights of Columbus. A fan of both Franciscan and Dominican spirituality, Father Jacob is a joyful, sociable, and much loved servant of Christ. The Confraternity is most blessed in having him as our Visitor.Let us pray for our new Visitor!
